Group & Expedition Bookings — Medical Support for Whole Teams

One Email — Whole Group Handled

Bringing 4+ people to Nepal? Email info@thamelclinic.org with your group size, route, and dates. We block back-to-back appointment slots, prepare everyone's paperwork in advance, and give your group a dedicated medical point of contact for the entire trip.

Trekking Groups & Expeditions

Group pre-trek health screenings for 4+ trekkers: individual physician review, group Diamox prescriptions, personalized acclimatization plans per route, and a pre-departure group briefing on AMS warning signs.

  • Group slots: all members seen back-to-back in one visit
  • Per-person written plans & medication kits
  • Optional: medical escort consultation for expedition leaders

School & University Expeditions

World Challenge, Duke of Edinburgh, and university research trips need documented health protocols. We handle the full medical clearance workflow for entire student groups with teacher/chaperone coordination.

  • Group vaccination schedules weeks before departure
  • Individual medical summary forms for teachers
  • Written emergency protocols with our contact for the lead guide
  • Parent-facing health briefing documentation

NGO & Corporate Field Teams

Development organizations, film crews, and corporate retreats deploying staff into rural Nepal get pre-deployment health briefings, vaccination drives, and an on-call medical liaison during field operations.

  • Direct monthly invoicing — no per-visit payment hassle
  • Field-incident WhatsApp liaison during deployment
  • Pre-deployment physicals + health risk assessments

How It Works

  1. 2–6 weeks before: email group details (size, route, medical conditions summary). We send individual intake forms.
  2. Week before trek: group visits together — every member gets personal physician review, vaccines/altitude meds dispensed on-site.
  3. During trek: your lead guide has our WhatsApp — symptom photos and questions reach a clinician during clinic hours.
  4. After trek: post-trek debrief if needed — persistent symptoms get assessed before you fly home.
  5. Billing: one consolidated invoice for the group or individual insurance packets — your choice.

The Group Medical Need

A trekking group of ten does not need ten separate clinic visits — it needs a coordinated session where everyone gets assessed, vaccinated, or briefed efficiently. The group booking exists for the expedition team, the tour group, the corporate deployment — the situation where individual visits are impractical and the group needs the same service together.

Group service categories

  • Pre-trek medicals — fitness assessment for the whole team
  • Vaccination clinics — group immunization sessions
  • Health briefings — altitude illness, food safety, trail health
  • First aid training — for guides and group leaders
  • Corporate packages — organizations with staff health needs

The Logistics

Group bookings are scheduled around regular patient flow — dedicated sessions that do not make the group wait behind individual consultations. Advance notice (1–2 weeks) ensures staffing and supplies are ready; the group that books ahead gets the efficient session rather than the queue. For on-site services at hotels or agencies, the coordination includes travel time and setup.

The Group Discount

Does the clinic handle group bookings?

Yes — for trekking groups needing pre-trek medicals, vaccination clinics for tour groups, health briefings for expeditions, and corporate medical services for organizations with staff in Nepal. Group bookings are coordinated to minimize wait times and ensure everyone is seen efficiently.

What group services are available?

Pre-trek medical assessments (fitness for altitude, medication review), group vaccinations (the expedition team that needs immunization), first aid training for guides and staff, and health briefings for the group before departure. Customized packages for specific group needs.

How do I book for a group?

Contact us with group size, services needed, and preferred date. For large groups we schedule dedicated sessions — the timing that does not overlap with regular patient flow. Advance notice (1–2 weeks) allows proper staffing and preparation.

What are group rates?

Group rates apply for 5+ people — discounted per-person pricing for vaccinations, medical assessments, and training sessions. The rate depends on group size and services; contact us for a quote. The economics favor the group — the per-person cost decreases with size.

Can you provide on-site services for groups?

For groups staying at hotels or at agency facilities — yes, on-site medical services are possible for briefings, assessments, and vaccinations. The clinic comes to you for group needs; the individual consultation happens at the clinic.
